About

About Things Need To Change

Things Need To Change is an early-stage Canadian grassroots civic foundation focused on practical reform, civic responsibility, institutional accountability, and national renewal.

Why We Exist

Across the country, many Canadians feel politically homeless. They see real problems, but they do not see serious answers. They are tired of outrage, empty slogans, institutional excuses, and the feeling that ordinary citizens are being managed instead of represented.

This project exists for Canadians who still believe the country is worth fixing, but who want a more serious civic culture than partisan theatre or permanent grievance.

What We Are Not

  • We are not a political party.
  • We are not a protest brand.
  • We are not built around permanent outrage.
  • We are not interested in ideological purity tests.
  • We are not pretending moderation means passivity.

What We Are Building

  • Public writing
  • Research and issue briefs
  • Local civic groups
  • Volunteer networks
  • Practical reform agendas

That work will take time. The current focus is publishing clear arguments, gathering serious volunteers, and developing practical issue work.

Current Status

We are in the early organizing stage. The goal is to build a serious civic foundation over time, not pretend a finished institution appeared out of the fog with a logo and a donation button.

Things Need To Change is nonpartisan. It does not claim registered charitable status, a board, or formal advisors unless those details are publicly provided later.

Funding transparency: formal funding details will be published before any public fundraising campaign. For now, the project is focused on organizing, writing, and building capacity.
